KEY FEATURES

  • Rich source of protein*
  • Minimal amounts of fat & lactose*
  • Extensive amino acid profile*
  • Taste

  • Mixability

Whey is a substance produced during cheese production. It is the liquid content that remains after the milk has curdled and coagulated. It contains lactalbumin and 5% lactose that has been diluted in water. Whey can be processed and isolated into three different types of protein: whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate and whey protein hydrolysate. Whey Isolate is the purest form, where the water, fats and lactose content have been removed. It contains a larger amount of pure protein than concentrate and hydrolysate.

DIRECTIONS

Serving Size & Timing

The generally recommended serving size of Whey Protein Isolate is 15 to 30 grams daily. However, the dosage can vary depending on the person’s build and body weight, rate of metabolism and size.

The recommended serving size for weightlifters is 1 gram of protein per kilogram of body weight.

INGREDIENTS & FURTHER INFORMATION

CONCENTRATION OF WHEY ISOLATE

Cow’s milk is 20% Whey Protein and 80% Casein protein. Whey Protein Isolate contains immunoglobulins, 65% Beta-lactoglobulins, 25% Alpha-lactalbumin and 8% Bovine serum Albumin. These substances are soluble in water regardless of their pH level. Because this whey is not sourced from an animal-based rennet, It is lacto-ovo vegetarian friendly.

WHEY ISOLATE SIDE EFFECTS

Whey Protein Isolate has no reported serious side effects when used correctly. Taking this supplement beyond its recommended dose, however, can cause headache, nausea, stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhea, fatigue and reduced appetite. Proteins not properly digested and left to ferment in the colon can cause flatulence and can produce unsaturated fatty acids.

TIPS

In a study conducted on the relationship of temperature and pH level with the solubility of Whey Protein, it was discovered that at pH level of 4.5, the ability of Whey Protein to dissolve in liquid decreases as temperature goes up, which means that denaturation of proteins does occur in this condition.

Whey Protein Powder Isolate 90% – CLEAN
This protein powder has a good consistency, with only a slight tendency to clumping. Despite not being instantized it dissolves very well in water with only mild stirring. The taste is startlingly inoffensive for an isolate powder with no added flavors or sweeteners. Packaging and shipping were both excellent as per usual for BulkSupplements. *

Breakfast
This is an excellent product. I like to mix it with my oatmeal in the mornings. It’s very simple, all I add to my oatmeal is one spoon full of peanut butter, one serving of Whey Protein ISO 90% and some honey. I gave it a shot one morning and I really enjoyed it, the only taste you’ll sense is the peanut butter. Mixes very well.*

Great Taste- Great Bulk Buy
I’ve been buying protein powder for 10+ years and this stuff is certainly worth every penny. Great taste that isn’t ruined by artificial flavor. Can add this protein to any mix or drink and it still tastes good. Definitely will see results with this powder. *

Simply The Best
Absolutely love this stuff. I typically mix with my preworkout before I hit the gym, and just mix it with water when I need supplemental protein at other times of the day. Pretty much flavorless and mixes just fine with plain water for me as I don’t need my protein shake to taste like dessert. If you plan to mix with water only, I recommend using the isolate (this version) over the concentrate as the slightly higher fat content causes the concentrate to not mix as well and gets clumpy. I recommend this to all of my lifting friends. *

Whey Protein
This is a great protein that is much more pure than what you are going to find in stores. It mixes great with organic flavors that you want to add. I also don’t feel bloated or have any negative side effects after taking it. The price is also amazing. GREAT BUY!*

Great Taste – No Artificial Sweeteners Needed
I recently decided to clean up all my workout supplements and get rid of all the products that had artificial sweeteners…man that stuff is in almost everything now! Even protein powders stick sucralose and acesulfame in them. Truth is, they put it in to mask the taste of the inferior protein they use. I bought some of the 90% Isolate and it has no funny aftertaste whatsoever. All i use to flavor it is real strawberries and blueberries…YUM! Flavor masking not needed.*

Bought after considerable research
Having used protein powders for a long time I decided to do some considerable research before I found bulk supplements – I saw this product listed as a top choice on a very detailed analysis of protein products comparisons. I have not been disappointed – All the aspects you would look for are there: Mixability, digestibility, and process technique…But you also get the satisfaction of knowing it is pure. If you are going to eat clean it is nice to know exactly what is in the staple of your protein diet. I enjoy the taste because I know it is clean. I mix it in half almond milk half water and drop a chunk of peanut butter in- DELICIOUS – Cant go wrong here.*

Great Protein Powder
This is one of the best protein powders I have tried. Has a great profile and a neutral taste. I also use it to dilute flavored protein powders, because they are usually too sweet for me.*

Awesome product
I love the whey isolate! It mixes easily, and has no taste. I flavor the powder as I wish (with chocolate powder and cinnamon). With this product, I can tailor the macro profile to match my diet plan for bulking, cutting or recomping without worrying about the ingredients as one does with pre-mixed protein powders found in stores. Further, I’ve their other products to custom blend my pre workout drinks with great success! I love bulk supps for their great products and prices.*

Fantastic Quality
What a relief to be able to get a Whey Isolate without any extra crap in it! I mix it with whatever the heck I want, sweeten it to my own taste, and enjoy the benefits. No weird chemicals or flavorings to mess with my digestion, and it feels “vital” in my system. Thank you Bulk Supplements! *

Clean & Pure and does not leave you with a lot of flatulent
I have used multiple brands of whey protein and they have all left me feeling bloated and with a lot of flatulent. This protein does not leave me feeling that way. I am not crazy about the packaging, it is difficult to keep closed once open. *

Clean Protein with Amazing results
As someone who is lactose intolerant I was a bit hesitant on trying yet another protein that claims to be clean. I was pleasantly surprised to NOT only feel no bloat, stomach ache of any sorts from this protein but incredible results. My lifting strength, my pump and recovery has been far unsurpassed to other brands out there. I will never again go anywhere else for my supplements. Furthermore, as Trainer I feel confident in recommending this to my clients and will do so for here on out. *

Cheapest pure, unadulaterated whey isolate on the market
Me personally, I don’t buy the blends of a several things, filled with flavorings, real or fake sugar, and other fillers. I just want the straight protein, creatine, betaine, etc. So all of my supplements are just plain, unflavored chemicals.

Whey protein is THE staple behind any non-vegan weightlifter/bodybuilder’s program. You just aren’t going hit your protein requirements without a protein supplement unless you’re committed to eating 2-3 pounds of meat everyday and basically feeling full/stuffed most of the day. A 1/3 cup scoop of a high quality whey isolate will get you about 25 grams of protein. Here’s where the type of whey comes into play. There’s whey, and then there’s whey isolate like from bulksupplements. Regular whey protein is generally around 50-60% protein by weight, because of the fillers. Whey isolate is usually 85-90% protein by weight. It costs a little more per pound but when you work the math it about evens out.

Because this is unflavored, the only ingredients are whey protein and soy lecithin (to prevent clumping). Soy lecithin is nothing to worry about if you’re a purist, because it contains compounds which stimulate muscle synthesis (read about mTOR and phosphatidic acid) but the amount in whey isolate is negligible regardless. It basically tastes like skim milk with a thicker mouthfeel. No problems drinking unless you hate milk.

And I buy my whey protein in 10lb bags, so I’m always looking for the best value. I used to buy NOW whey isolate but it’s gone up in price. Search begins, I found bulksupplements, search ended. It’s about 10% cheaper per pound shipped than the best price I could find for NOW. They also carry a lot of the supplements I use in pure form, so I think in the future I’ll be taking advantage of that free shipping for orders over $49 a lot.*

No additives
This whey isolate is definitely my go to protein post workout and first thing in the morning. I love that it has no additives along with it being unflavored. In the morning I mix it with ice coffee and post workout i blend it with fruit and yogurt. It mixes easy when blended or shaken. Highly recommend. *

On 2/18/2017 Jason said…

why I like this product
This product contains no fillers or favors, just pure protein whey, which is critical when you want to control your diet. This product has little to no favor to it. Mixes well and since there is no favor, it means this product could be mixed into a variety of foods to provide additional proteins where you need it. *

Love this stuff
This stuff is perfect. My problem with protein drinks was always the added flavors and sweeteners. I would feel like crap and then wouldn’t want to work out. With this I put one banana, some ice cubes, and 5 tbs of protein in the blender. Boom, 30 grams of protein in an under 8oz drink that tastes great. Definitely reordering.*

On 1/21/2017 Jason said…

really clean
After switching my eating to be more Keto I had to give up my Dymatize gourmet whey due to the sugar and carbs. This new Isolate has more protein, less carbs and sugar and no extra ingredients that I cant pronounce. So far it seems great.*

On 1/19/2017 yancy said…

Great Value
I like that I can get so much pure protein at an affordable price. Mixes well, and it doesn’t add unnecessary carbs or calories to my shakes.*

Everything you want in a protein powder
The great thing about this powder is that there are ONLY 2 ingredients; isolate and the emulsifier. Nothing else. No artificial flavoring, fillers, sweeteners, or chemicals–a super clean protein that mixes very well. I’m surprised Labdoor hasn’t done a test of this protein yet. *

On 1/15/2017 William said…

Pure and Cheap
It’s hard to find supplements without unnecessary added things like sugars and fats, this is clean, pure whey protein and that’s exactly what I wanted. The taste isn’t amazing but that isn’t a big deal.*

Here’s the recipe for

“Morning Glory Shake”:

1) 8 oz. of Almond Milk
(no carrageenan)
2) 1 scoop of Pro-Optimal
Whey Protein powder,
chocolate favored (or
another Whey Protein
Isolate powder of your
choosing)
3) 1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds
4) 1 Tablespoon of Gelatinized
Maca Root Powder
5) 1 scoops of L-Glutamine
powder (approx. 5 grams)
6) 1 Tablespoon of Hydrolyzed
Collagen Powder
(approx. 5 grams)
7) 1 scoop of D-Ribose
powder (approx. 5 grams)

Mix all the ingredients
in a blender – on very low
speed, as the amino acids
in the Pro-Optimal Whey
Protein are delicate and
can easily be destroyed
with heat (through high
speed blenders which
create heat), and enjoy.

This “Morning Glory” shake

is just delicious and so

packed with all the

nutrition you need, not

just to start your day off

right, but to help heal your

immune system and colon.

Morning Glory Shake

What does each ingredient do?

1) Almond milk (without
carrageenan) is important
to give this shake flavor,
density, liquidity, and
taste and form.

2) Whey Protein – contains
proteins, which
are made up of the
many Amino Acids
your body and its
organs require to function.

3) Chia Seeds are
important for the fiber,
the minerals, and the
omega 3’s they provide
your body. If your gut
can’t handle the seeds,
then make Chia Seed
Gel and use 2
Tablespoons of this
Gel in its place.

4) Gelatinized Maca
Root Powder is to
help with fatigue,
depression, loss of
libido ( so many
of us have had as a
result of all those
terrible steroids our
doctors have made us
take), hair loss.

Click here for Maca Root Powder

5) L-Glutamine Powder
is important as it has
been shown in studies
“heal the mucosal lining”
of the colon.

6) Hydrolyzed Collagen
Powder is a well
known “gut Healer”,
but in addition helps
with skin, hair, nails,
and more importantly
joint pains as well.

7) D-Ribose Powder
is a type of sugar that
all the cells of our bodies
need to produce their
energy, through a
molecule called ATP.

“…ATP is adenosine triphosphate.
Healthy, active cells constantly
replenish their supply of ATP to

produce vital cellular energy.

However, under conditions of stress,
injury, or aging, [or diseases such

as Auto-Immune Diseases],
critical body tissues such as
heart and skeletal muscles

cannot produce ATP quickly
enough to perform optimally.

D-ribose, a carbohydrate molecule
found in every living organism,
facilitates the production of ATP
.

In studies of healthy athletes as
well as those who have suffered
injury to the heart muscle,

supplying fatigued muscle
cells with D-ribose quickly

restored ATP levels to normal.
By helping to rapidly refill depleted
energy stores, D-ribose may be

especially beneficial for people
coping with cardiac and other
problems marked by impaired
cellular energy production.

D-Ribose Tablets and D-Ribose
Powder

can help speed energy
recovery, increase energy
reserves and maintain healthy
energy levels in heart and
muscle tissue.”

Here’s another note of importance
on the Morning Glory Shake,

1) you can add other vitamins to
it as well, personally I add

     10,000 I.U. of liquid Vitamin D3

2)  the Morning Glory Shake is

     perfect for Bowel Rest

3)  if you’re struggling to add

     weight, you can add

a) 1/2 an avocado OR

b) 1/4 Cup of Almond Butter to your shake

4) mix it up a bit… experiment
