How much protein should you consume in a day?

The average “Active” person requires about 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body weight per day. Most people never get that much protein in a day. While a non-active elderly person might only need half that amount.

How often do you use liquid egg whites?

Bodybuilders have known for decades that if you don’t put protein into your body before you go to bed, your body will run out of protein about 2 am. Once your body digests all of its available protein, your body thinks it is starving itself. To protect you, your body shuts down and starts storing your fat cells. The blood sugar still needs protein to keep you going, so it starts consuming the only protein source available, your own muscle mass. Basically, you are storing fat and eating muscle.

By drinking a high protein drink with liquid egg whites just before you go to bed, they will support muscle growth for up to 4 to 5 hours. Now the process is reversed for most of your sleep time. This is my Egg Whites story… I saw the advertisements for Egg Whites International in Oxygen Mag and thought, “Ewwwww, egg whites? “I have been using your product for about a week now and I wanted to let you know how great it has been. I am probably a little different than your average user. I have a severe pain from a spine injury in the upper back. This means that any pressure from having a full stomach sends me into 10 out of 10 pain. “I have been an avid ‘jogger’ for a lot of years. Two years ago I decided to try a marathon. I have been hooked ever since. After my long runs I noticed I would have lots of soreness. “THE DOCTOR WAS TRULY ASTONISHED”

“In June 2009, my son Timothy was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). At the time, he was 4 months shy of his third birthday. Over the next several months, my wife and I learned as much as we could about this horrible disease. CF is a genetic disease that affects not only pulmonary (lung) function but in many cases, affects the bodies’ ability to absorb nutrients from food. In particular, pancreatic enzymes do not enter the intestines to help break down food. As such, many CF patients have difficulty gaining and maintaining body weight, even though they take enzymes with meals to help them with their nutrient intake. Additionally, we learned that maintaining a healthy weight had a direct affect on the pulmonary function of CF patients. Armed with this knowledge, we were more determined than ever to make sure Timothy gained weight. In our case, Timothy’s CF doctors were recommending that he take in 2000 calories a day.

Timothy did a fairly good job of maintaining his weight throughout the summer and fall. However, in November 2009, he became sick and lost 3 pounds in 3 days. While this does not seem like much, it was nearly 10% of his overall body weight. With the help of numerous doses of antibiotics, he was able to overcome his sickness, but was left at about 33 pounds at Christmas.
